Summer Exhibition 2026

Summer Exhibition 2026

17 July – 17 August

Private View: Friday 17 July | 5.00–8.00pm
Artist Talks: From 6.00pm

Elaine Foster-Gandey Art is delighted to present its Summer Exhibition 2026, bringing together a vibrant collection of contemporary artists from Cornwall and across the UK in a month-long celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and contemporary making.

Running from 17 July until 17 August, the exhibition showcases an exciting mix of painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, jewellery and wearable art, carefully curated to create a rich and engaging exhibition across the gallery and newly refreshed garden space.

Visitors are invited to the Private View on Friday 17 July from 5–8pm, where they will have the first opportunity to view and purchase new work before the exhibition opens fully. From 6pm, participating artists will each give a short talk about their work and practice, offering visitors a unique insight into the ideas, inspirations and processes behind the exhibition.

Founded by internationally exhibiting artist Elaine Foster-Gandey, whose work has been shown at the Venice Biennale, the gallery has quickly established itself as one of Cornwall's exciting new artist-led spaces. Since opening, it has attracted attention from BBC Cornwall, Cornwall Live, Cornwall 365, Visit Cornwall and other regional arts organisations for its ambitious programme of exhibitions, workshops and community events.

Elaine Foster-Gandey said:

"One of the aims of the gallery has always been to create opportunities for artists and to make contemporary art welcoming and accessible. Our Summer Exhibition brings together artists working across many different disciplines, creating conversations between materials, ideas and approaches. Visitors can meet the artists, hear about their work and enjoy discovering a diverse collection of original art in an informal and friendly setting."

Over the past few months the gallery has become a lively creative hub, hosting sold-out poetry evenings, artist talks, exhibitions, workshops and collaborative projects. The Summer Exhibition continues this growing programme, with additional workshops and events taking place throughout the exhibition.

Whether you are an established collector, looking for your first original artwork, or simply enjoy discovering contemporary creativity, the Summer Exhibition offers something for everyone.

Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.
