Limited Edition Etchings by Elaine Foster-Gandey
This collection of limited edition etchings by international multimedia artist Elaine Foster-Gandey forms part of an intimate body of work developed through a deep, process-led exploration of mark-making. Each piece is one of only 20 prints (1/20), produced on artisan paper and presented in elegant frames by Stable Art.
Foster-Gandey’s approach to this series involved a radical shift in her drawing practice—one that foregrounds the body as both subject and instrument. Through movement-based mark-making, she allowed the body itself to ‘speak’, bypassing traditional control and embracing gesture, motion, and somatic experience as central to the image-making process.
This exploratory journey is fully documented in her companion brochure, ‘Movement Makes Marks’, available online. The publication offers insight into the conceptual grounding and physical methodology behind each print—underscoring the artist’s commitment to embodied practice and material nuance.
This piece exhibited at Elaine Foster-Gandey Art, a new arts space in Lostwithiel Cornwall, offering art exhibitions, workshops and retreats.
The etching framed measures 13.5 x 30 cms
