Jewellery Workshop with Cath Bull Saturday 8th August 10-12.30
Join us for a fun workshop, ‘Jewellery making’ with Cornwall Open Studios Artist Cath Ball.
Have you dreamed of making your own jewellery one day? Well now is the time to start. This workshop will show you simple techniques that you can master.
Cath is planning to bring an assortment of threading materials and will be showing you different techniques used with them, along with showing you examples of each technique she uses for her own jewellery making and the tools required to make them!
This workshop is open to complete beginners and more advanced jewellers.
About the Jeweller - Cath Bull is a renowned, St Just-based jeweller with over half a century of experience. She specializes in handcrafted beadwork, creating unique necklaces and bracelets from precious, semi-precious, upcycled, and unusual materials. Her work regularly features in local showcases like Cornwall open studios.
What you will need to bring;-
A pair of round nosed pliers and two pairs of snipe nosed pliers for working with wire and any beads you would like to incorporate into a piece (you may have some special beads you have been saving for such a workshop!).
Cath will be bringing an assortment of beads that can be used.

Disabled access - the gallery is all on one level and the garden area is accessible with a slope down to the space. There are no disabled toilet facilities in the gallery, however the community centre on Pleyber Christ Way has a disabled toilet, just along from the gallery, a 5 min walk. Nearest Trainline is an 8 minute walk away.
Parking options at the community centre and along Quay Street or around the Town.
Lostwithiel has many lovely cafes and shops and after the workshop you may want to have a browse. We recommend Q street Cafe along the road on Queen Street and the Mess Hall on Fore Street and the Community centre cafe. Overnight stays at The great western are reasonably priced and the Royal Oak, plus numerous air b & b’s are worth researching, or if you are driving, Premier Inn in Bodmin is about a 10 min drive away.
