The Cornish chough is surrounded by folklore and symbolism. One of Cornwall's most enduring legends tells us that King Arthur's soul lives on within the chough, making it a symbol of resilience, renewal and the enduring spirit of Cornwall.

Inspired by David Hockney's celebration of colour, Elaine moved away from her traditional black backgrounds to introduce vibrant green, allowing the birds to emerge with renewed energy and presence.
